Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding athletes. In the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at one Games and she was the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles along with their younger sibling Adria was adopted by Ronald Biles as well as Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area) were raised there. Simone's interest in gymnastics began when she was just six years old when she took a trip with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained in the hands of Aimee Borman's guidance until 2011. Biles earned a silver in vault in 2010 and also a bronze at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Then she moved on to the level of elite competition in 2011. She dominated her sport less than two year later. Biles was distinguished by her consistently high performance and exuberant personality as well as the difficulty of her routines in all four events including vault, bars with uneven surfaces, and the balance beam.
