Alison Krauss has been a country artist for more than 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur IL on the 23rd July 1971. Alison Krauss and LeAnn Kymes were the two youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer, songwriter and bluegrass musician. Born on the 23rd of July 1971. She entered the music industry as a young girl, having won local competitions at 10, before recording her first album at the age of 14. When she was 14, she released her solo debut album after being signed to Rounder Records. She was asked to join the band whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album as a band in 1989.
